Terrence R. Orr, M.D., moved to South Lake Tahoe in 1988 to study as a fellow in sports
medicine with the Tahoe Fracture Clinic. Upon completing the fellowship, Dr. Orr joined
the clinic staff. He specializes in arthroscopic surgery and ligament reconstruction
surgery of the knee.
Dr. Orr has been actively involved with medical coverage of the U.S. Ski Team since he
moved to Tahoe. Currently he is the Head Team Physician for the U.S. Men's Alpine
Ski Team. In 2001, he traveled to St. Anton, Austria, for the World Alpine Ski
Championship. He was selected by the U.S. Olympic Committee to be the team physician
for the Men's Alpine team at the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Joining Dr. Orr in caring for patients at the South Lake Tahoe and Gardnerville
offices is Cory Hall, PA-C, AT-C; Lynn Harriman, AT-C; and Isaiah Tannaci, AT-C.
All are involved in traveling with the U.S. Ski Team and providing medical and
athletic training support.
Dr. Orr is a native of the Chicago area and a lifelong Cubs and Bears fan.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Purdue University, a Master's
degree in Physiology, and an M.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He did his
internship at Northwestern University, and he completed his Orthopedic Residency at
Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Orr enjoys his free time snow skiing, water skiing, biking, and playing golf.
His wife, Beachy (Ph.D. Anatomy), is an instructor at Lake Tahoe Community College,
teaching Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, and Biotechnology. Targhee, Jeff,
Katy, and Lisa, having grown up in Tahoe, share an active lifestyle with their parents.
