Meet Our Specialists

Robin Y. Tomita, MD

Specialty Focus: Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation/Electrodiagnostic Medicine

“I am interested in taking care of patients with spine problems conservatively (without surgery) and ultimately improving their function and quality of life. I enjoy helping people by addressing their needs without putting them through surgery. My goal is to minimize pain and maximize function. I focus on treating the patient as a whole rather than just a particular body part or diagnosis. I like patients to feel as though they are active participants in their care. I often tell them that I am their tour guide and I will take them wherever they need to go, but the ultimate decisions about their care rests with them. I am also board-certified in EMG and perform spinal injections.”

Board-Certified: American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine

Residency: Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, The Ohio State University Hospitals, Columbus, OH

MD: Hahnemann University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA

Member: American Association of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine, North American Spine Society
